Somewhere between art reference and flea market find: this decorative object deliberately plays with the aura of famous skull sculptures – inspired by one of the most expensive works of art of the present day. The King Skull reinterprets the motif in antique style: raw polyresin surfaces meet gleaming acrylic glass, the whole crowned by regal ornamental detail. As a decor sculpture on a sideboard or bookshelf, it makes a statement that oscillates between memento mori and pop culture. At 50 cm tall and 3.3 kg, it is present enough to define a room – and ironic enough to raise a smile.
